You taught me so much
about friendship and trust.
For an officer that means so much.
You are a complicated man
but your beliefs are strong,
to serve with pride and strength,
even when th nights are long
I give you all the respect that
one friend could give another.
In turn that's what I expect,
you give that like no other
We have a strange relationship
that everyone can see.
What no one understands
that it's the friendship that we both need.
You wear a shield proud and bold.
It protects your heart that I want to hold.
I'm glad I had a chance to say,
that I'm glad to know you like I do.
I think about you guys when I pray.
Remember I will love you everyday.
